Arts Advice Surgery

Audiences South West (formerly South West Arts Marketing) will be holding free one-hour advice surgeries on Tuesday 6 May in Yeovil, Somerset.

These one-to-one advice surgeries are open to cultural organisations and artists networks wishing to discuss any area of audience development and arts marketing. This can range from how best to promote a new project to engaging new audiences and developing a three-year audience development strategy and are designed to be open for you to discuss any area that is important to you and your organisation.

WOW Auditions – ‘Les Miserables’

WOW Youth Musical Theatre are holding auditions for the parts of Cosette, Eponine & Gavroche (understudy). Girls should be 8-10 years old with dark hair and a good singing voice. Boys should be under 4′ 10″ with an unbroken singing voice. An audition song will be taught & those selected will go through to a further audition in front of the director. Are your group entering Weymouth Carnival? Are your children in the procession for the ‘Spirit of the Sea’ festival? Are you a local artist eager to learn carnival art? Are you a teacher who uses dance, mask, costume and music in your work with children? Are you a local dance and drama group?Then this workshop is for you!

The workshop is free and is sponsored by Weymouth College and the Arts Council of England South West. Refreshments / food are not provided.
